About Us

Industrial Business Services, Inc. (IBS, Inc.) founded in 1981 provides building checks, building lockups/unlocks, background checks, security officers, alarm response as well as parking lot patrols.

IBS, Inc. was founded by owner, Edward R. Woods in 1981, while employed as a special duty police officer for the City of Columbus. His ability to detect and apprehend suspects for property management clients quickly earned him credibility as a person to be trusted to protect client assets while limiting their liability.

Today, IBS, Inc. provides property managers the option of either using full/part-time security officers or periodic building checks using a patrol officer in one of our marked security vehicles. Our security officers are trained to secure and protect properties and identify maintenance concerns. Our clients include commercial properties, office buildings, shopping centers, construction sites and apartment properties.

IBS, Inc. is a trusted name within the Central Ohio market as a company who has the ability to exceed customer expectations. Our clients' interests are kept strictly confidential. We are easily accessible and work hard to provide communication that is accurate and timely. IBS, Inc. prides itself in making our management team accessible to our clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

IBS, Inc. maintains a Class A Private Investigative/Security Guard license as issued from the Ohio Department of Public Safety. As well, IBS, Inc. is insured to provide maximum assurance to our clients.
